WELCOME TO FANTASY COLLEGE HOOPS: TOURNAMENT EDITION
TCH's March Madness version of Fantasy College Hoops. Please read all the rules before signing up!
First things first: This game is FREE and there are NO PRIZES. Anyone can enter, but please- only one entry per person. If you enter more than once, the LAST one you do is the one that counts.
Here's how the game works: Using the formula below to calculate fantasy points, you will earn Fantasy Points for each game the team you select plays during the 2005 NCAA Tournament.
You will select ONE team per seed. You are required to select exactly 16 teams for this contest. Once your team is defeated in the Tournament, you will no longer earn points for that seed. There are no changes permitted in the teams you have selected once the NCAA Tourney begins.
The Formula:
Each Point For (PF)=
Each Points Against (PA)=
Free Throw Made (FT)=
Team Win (WIN)=
Team Loss (LOSS)=
Team Rebounds are factored into rebounding totals. Team turnovers are NOT!
This is the same formula TCH has used in it's FCH2H contest the last two seasons.
Fantasy Points will be calculated using box scores found at Yahoo Sports. Team results will be updated throughout the tournament. Individual Results are scheduled to be available on Monday after the second round of the tourney, on Monday after the elite eight round, and on Tuesday following the championship game.
The winner will be the person with the most Fantasy Points at the end of the NCAA Tourney. In case of a tie, multiple champions will be named. Again, this is for fun. No entry fee, no prizes!
There will be a page called "Picks Received" that will be updated daily. You can use this to make sure that your entry has been received. Picks will be available once the Tournament begins.
Entry forms will be available shortly after the Tournament Pairings are announced.
The NCAA Tourney "Play-in Game" that will be played on March 15, 2005 is NOT part of this contest. Only games played on or after March 17, 2004 count.
Deadline to enter is 11:59 AM ET on Thursday, March 17th, 2004.
